Overview

In a landmark step for Tamil Nadu's school education system, Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay announced the reconstitution of the School Curriculum Design Committee — appointing celebrated former ISRO scientist Dr. M. Annadurai as its Chairman. The announcement, made as part of the TVK government's education reform agenda during July 2–3, 2026, sets the stage for a transformative overhaul of what Tamil Nadu's children learn in school.

"CM Vijay's decision to put a scientist of Dr. Annadurai's stature at the helm of curriculum design sends a powerful message — Tamil Nadu's children will be educated for the 21st century, not the 20th."

Why This Appointment Matters
