Tamil Nadu’s politics has long been known for bitter rivalry between leaders. By walking into the homes and offices of allies and opponents alike in his very first days, the Chief Minister signalled that his government would work with everyone for the State’s good. On May 12, the Assembly elected JCD Prabhakar as Speaker.
