On the final day of campaigning, Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay held a 40-km road show in Dharapuram on Sunday, October 4, 2026, seeking votes for TVK candidate P. The Chief Minister flew from Chennai to Coimbatore and travelled to Dharapuram by helicopter. He set off in his customised campaign caravan from Maruthi Nagar at around 1 PM, with the route running from Dharapuram to Mulanur and back (PTI, IANS).

One of the moments of the day came when Vijay took a short ride on a bullock cart, interacting with voters along the way (PTI). Barricades had been put up along both sides of the route so that people could watch the procession safely, and party workers lined the roads as the vehicle passed (IANS).
Addressing voters during the road show, the Chief Minister spoke out against remarks made about women during the campaign. According to PTI, he said that attacking women had crossed the line and that he would not remain silent — a theme he has returned to throughout the by-election campaign, after the row over remarks about Sathyabama.
This was Vijay’s second campaign visit to Dharapuram, after his public meeting on September 30. Campaigning for both by-elections ended at 6 PM on Sunday. Twenty-two candidates are contesting in Dharapuram (SC), in Tiruppur district (IANS).
