The meeting brought together the party's legislators for detailed deliberations on the 2026-27 General Budget and Agriculture Budget, along with other key issues expected to come up during the Assembly session. The gathering carries particular significance as it precedes the government's very first Budget presentation since CM Vijay took office.
Finance Minister N. Marie Wilson will present the General Budget on Wednesday, followed by Agriculture Minister Vinoth presenting the Agriculture Budget on Thursday. Discussions on both Budgets are expected to follow, after which the House will take up department-wise demands for grants — making the Panaiyur strategy session a key preparatory step ahead of a consequential fortnight for the government.
