25 DSPs of the 14th batch, including 11 women, completed a year of training at the Tamil Nadu Police Academy on 7 October. CM Vijay took the salute and presented medals.

Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay was chief guest at the passing-out parade of the 14th batch of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. The parade was held at the Tamil Nadu Police Academy in Oonamancheri, near Vandalur in Chengalpattu district (News Today, TV9 Tamil).

The Ceremony

The Chief Minister received a ceremonial salute from the police contingent and reviewed the parade. He then presented trophies and medals to the officers who did best in training. Of the 25 officers, 11 are women and 14 are men; all now join the Tamil Nadu Police (News Today).

Director General of Police and Head of Police Force Mahesh Kumar Agarwal invited the Chief Minister. Ministers, the Speaker, MPs, MLAs, local body representatives and senior police officers also attended.

A Moment That Went Viral
