Well-known Tamil folk singer Pushpavanam Kuppusamy has been appointed president of the Tamil Nadu Eyal Isai Nataka Manram, the state body for literature, music and theatre. Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay handed him the appointment order at the Secretariat in Chennai on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. School Education and Tamil Development Minister Rajmohan and officials were present (News Today, Oneindia Tamil).
Kuppusamy met the Chief Minister with his wife and daughter and received his good wishes (Oneindia Tamil). He succeeds Vaagai Chandrasekar as head of the Manram.
