TVK took part in a Tamil Nadu INDIA bloc meeting for the first time on 3 October at Sathyamurthy Bhavan, Chennai, represented by ministers Aadhav Arjuna and Marie Wilson.
The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam took part in a Tamil Nadu INDIA bloc meeting for the first time on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The meeting was held at Sathyamurthy Bhavan, the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee headquarters in Chennai. Public Works Minister Aadhav Arjuna and Finance Minister Marie Wilson represented TVK. Chief Minister Vijay did not attend (The South First, The Week).
TNCC president B. Manickam Tagore called the meeting, the first state-level meeting of the bloc. It discussed the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and concerns about the Election Commission, and decided to hold protests demanding the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar (The Week).

TVK national spokesperson Felix Gerald described the INDIA alliance as a “larger version of the Secular Social Justice Victory Alliance” that TVK leads in Tamil Nadu, and said the party took part on that basis (The South First). Minister B. Rajmohan said TVK opposes the SIR (The Week).
TVK had not attended earlier INDIA bloc meetings in Delhi. Reports say the party is working with the bloc at the state level while keeping its own identity nationally (The Week).
