🤝 TVK and IUML: “Two Flowers on One Flag”

TVK’s partnership with the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) took centre stage at the IUML youth wing rally in Chennai on Friday, October 23, 2026, addressed by Ministers Rajmohan and Aadhav Arjuna.

What Minister Rajmohan Said

• A historic first: Tamil Nadu had never had an IUML minister since Independence — Chief Minister Vijay changed that. He said the IUML would be part of every cabinet in the future.
• “Two flowers on one flag”: he described TVK and the IUML as one family, promising that each would protect the other.
• Clear stand: “As long as the last TVK worker stands, there will be no ties with the BJP” — reaffirming TVK’s secular politics.
• Minorities: he said minorities should not have to keep proving their patriotism and deserve a greater share in political power.
• He promised the IUML would never betray TVK and would stand by the people in any difficulty.

Why It Matters

The IUML is a partner in the TVK-led government. Giving the party a ministerial post for the first time was one of the coalition’s symbolic moments, and the youth wing rally showed the alliance presenting a united, secular face ahead of the coming months.
