01 · Overview

The Film

Wealthy Vishwa is exploited by his scheming friend Raghu, who fakes his own death so that Vishwa is convicted of murder. After years in prison, Vishwa breaks out to rescue his daughter from Raghu and take revenge.

The Hindu noted heavy melodrama, slow pacing and obvious borrowing from Double Jeopardy; Kalki called it average while praising Raghuvaran and the cinematography.

This film is a remake of Double Jeopardy (1999, English) - unofficial.
