01 · Overview

The Film

Vijay, a justice-minded college student and son of a philandering, abusive businessman, is framed and jailed after clashing with a rich rival. After clearing his name, he and his allies start a newspaper to expose his father's criminal dealings, leading to tragedy and a courtroom climax.

Mostly negative reviews (The Indian Express did praise its political satire) and a box-office failure.
