01 · Overview

The Film

After avenging his family's murder, Suriya lands in jail, where he falls for a minister's daughter. The couple elope to a remote village and come under the protection of its chief, Periyanna, who vows to see them married despite her father's opposition.

A box office failure; reviewers (New Straits Times, Kalki, The Hindu) found the story old and the screenplay patchy.
