At the ₹13,000 crore projects event at IIT Madras on 11 October, CM Vijay asked PM Modi for Chennai Metro Phase-3, Madurai and Coimbatore metros, ₹5,110 crore SSA funds and Tamil in the High Court.

The function, where projects worth over ₹13,000 crore were inaugurated and foundation stones laid, opened with the National Anthem and the Tamil Thai Vazhthu (Nakkheeran).

Compiled from reports by ETV Bharat, WION and Nakkheeran.
The Union Education Ministry has linked Samagra Shiksha funds to implementing the National Education Policy, including the three-language formula and the PM-SHRI agreement. Tamil Nadu has consistently said states should not be penalised for policy differences (WION). The CM’s call for release “without conditions” continues that stand, which has been shared across parties in the state.
Speaking after the CM, PM Modi said that “together with CM Vijay, we are taking forward the development of the state”. Read what PM Modi said ›
