Aaruthra

A private detective named Avudaiappan begins to suspect Shiva, an ordinary-seeming Chennai man living with his family. When Shiva is almost caught in the act of killing, a flashback reveals his motive. His once-happy family, including his parents and his sister Aaruthra, was shattered when a trusted relative, Nambi, betrayed them, leading to Aaruthra's rape and murder and the deaths of his parents. Shiva sets out on a path of vengeance that ends with him killing Nambi.

Critics generally appreciated the film's intention of speaking out against child sexual abuse but felt the execution let it down. Reviewers described the storytelling as lazy and the treatment as falling flat, with ratings in the low range.
