Innisai Mazhai

Vijay, Mamta, Michael and Saravanan perform together in a music troupe. Michael and Saravanan both love Mamta, but she loves Vijay, who wants nothing to do with romance. After he turns her down she tries to take her own life. Vijay, raised only by his father, then learns that Michael's mother is also his own mother, and this changes how he sees love, so he finally accepts Mamta.

Critics liked Ilaiyaraaja's music and the locations, but found fault with the script, the acting and the thin story. The film did poorly at the box office.
