The Film

Vijay returns to his village and falls for Meena, but her powerful brother opposes the match because of caste. Vijay's elder brother Senthoorapandi, freshly out of prison, steps in to help the lovers, while a flashback reveals his own tragic past romance.

Reportedly a commercial success; reviews were mixed, with The Indian Express calling it fairly engaging while others criticised the weak story but praised the cinematography and music.
