The Path to Directing

Jason Sanjay was born in London on 26 August 2000 and grew up in Chennai. He chose filmmaking early. He took a diploma in Film Production at Toronto Film School in Canada, then a BA (Hons) in Screenwriting in London.

In August 2023, Lyca Productions announced that he would make his feature debut with them. He developed an action-heist story, travelled to Hyderabad to narrate it to Sundeep Kishan, and shot it in Tamil and Telugu at the same time.

Unlike his father, he chose to direct rather than act, and he has spoken of wanting to build his own identity as a filmmaker.
