The daughter of actor and Chief Minister Vijay and Sangeetha Sornalingam, and the younger sister of filmmaker Jason Sanjay. She has largely kept a private life away from the public spotlight.
Divya Saasha grew up in Chennai and is the younger child of Vijay and Sangeetha Sornalingam. Her paternal grandparents are filmmaker S.A. Chandrasekhar and singer-filmmaker Shoba Chandrasekhar.
She made a brief appearance alongside her father in Theri (2016), in a sequence featuring Vijay’s character and his on-screen daughter. It drew attention as one of the few times Vijay’s daughter has been seen in one of his films. It was not the start of an acting career, and she has not pursued acting professionally.
